Ivy Classical has been approved to open by Elmore County School System in its role as an authorizer. Ivy Classical Academy plans to open in August 2023 in Prattville with grades K-6 with approximately 642 students. The charter school plans to grow by a grade each year. It will focus on a traditional liberal arts classical education.
Mission and Vision
Ivy Classical Academy's mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue.
The vision is to develop students into exemplary citizens that adhere to the school's seven virtues. The students will be thoughtful, well-spoken, and articulate, but most importantly, they will possess a life-long passion for learning.
